Rise & Root Farm is a QT+BIPOC centered farm, founded on love, chosen family, and commitment to social justice. We center care in everything we do: for the land, ourselves, each other, and our wider communities. We work to uproot underlying systems of oppression in order to create liberation.
Located on Lenape land in Chester, NY, Rise & Root Farm is a five-acre farm, run cooperatively by four owners who are women, intergenerational, multi-racial, and LGBTQ+. We’re located in the Black Dirt region of Orange County, NY, and are part of the Chester Agricultural Center.
Our mission is to provide hands-on training, on-site demonstrations, educational outreach, and community collaborations that help families become more self-sustainable and environmentally conscious—all while preserving historic Keney Park.
To support our mission, we engage in three primary activities:
Revival Road Farm is a diversified, regenerative, reparative agricultural enterprise that strives to re-awaken soil health, connection of people with earth and revive joy and celebration on the land.

In addition to sitting on the board of the renowned Urban Farming Institute and establishing several urban farm sites in the greater Boston area, Siedric has made his mark on dozens of fine-dining restaurants and worked as the founding chef at Fresh Food Generation. Siedric brings extensive culinary knowledge and passion to farming and farm-marketing endeavors. Siedric is the co-owner and co-founder of Revival Road Farm, successfully running all business and farming operations.
Soulful Soils' mission is to provide organically grown food while growing a new wholesome and communal approach to home-scale farming. We are a Black woman-owned farm supporting people and families to be more self-sufficient and healthy, no matter their income, religion, politics, or race. We are connecting with the community by sharing and gaining knowledge while putting Soul back into our Soil.
Ummah Enterprises is a veteran-owned and operated meat processing and mobile meat solutions farm. We are located in Turner, Maine just north of Lewiston.
At Ummah Enterprises, we not only care about the animals we raise, but the communities we feed. Our mission is to provide diverse food-insecure communities with clean, healthy and affordable meats.
Ummah Enterprises recognizes that one of the most significant and persistent problems in Maine is the absence of economic and political support needed to provide food to those who need it. We are here to bridge the gap. So don't worry, we will do the hard work!
Soul Fire Farm is an Afro-Indigenous2 centered community farm and training center dedicated to uprooting racism and seeding sovereignty in the food system.
With deep reverence for the Earth and wisdom of our ancestors, we practice regenerative3 agroecology, raise and distribute life-giving food, equip the rising generation of BIPOC farmers4, and mobilize communities to work toward food and land sovereignty5.
